The 2016 ATCA Conference has been officially set for February 4th, from 9:30 until 3:30pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Little Rock, 11301 Financial Centre Parkway. This year we will partner with the Arkansas Juvenile Officers Association for the conference in order to expose more juvenile justice officers to the Teen Court concept. Please make plans to join us. Court is now in session; at least, the interest behind how the legal system works, is. A large group of Teen Court participants met on Friday, June 22 at the Bowen School of Law. Teen Court is a diversion program that works with first time juvenile offenders. The group of students heard a range of topics from various speakers including a….
NLR Teen Court participants attended the 2013 Preventing School Violence Youth Summit at the Criminal Justice Institute in Little Rock, AR on April 1. Thank you to Attorney General Dustin McDaniel for allowing us to participate.
After the Youth Summit and lunch at On the Border, students recieved tickets to the Clinton Presidential Library. Thank you to all the students that participated in this event on behalf of NLR Teen Court.
NLR Teen Court would like to thank our group of outstanding volunteer attorneys and judges without whom NLR Teen Court would not be possible. These attorneys come to court and help our student attorneys prepare their cases and also sit with attorneys throughout their trials.
